Helen Best, M.Ed. :: President
Helen Best is the President and Co-founder of the Treatment Implementation Collaborative, LLC based in Seattle, WA. She has worked with mental health systems of care for 30 years with a strong track record of supporting small and large scale evidenced based practice implementation initiatives. Drawing on her Masters in Adult Education and Training, she has extensive experience developing training and implementation plans for county, state and national mental health agencies, private for and nonprofit organizations and individual treatment teams. She has worked extensively in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. She is well versed in system assessment, team formation, training plans and ongoing sustainability for evidence based practices. She spent fourteen years supporting the dissemination of Dialectical Behavior Therapy as executive management at Behavioral Tech, LLC with the primary focus of developing Dialectical Behavior Therapy within agency settings.
Since 1998, Helen has project managed Dialectical Behavior Therapy implementation projects with state wide initiatives in MI, CT, NY, CA, the province of British Columbia, as well as community development projects in Hamilton and Thunder Bay Ontario, and national initiatives in New Zealand and Norway. She is currently working with a number of system projects that include developing community services across several PA counties, unit development across a state hospital system, facility based services in a state sponsored children’s agency and a continuum of care across a large private non profit service provider to name a few. She has supported thousands of clinicians and teams with the implementation of treatment within their practice settings. She grew up internationally, living in Africa, Asia, Europe and the United States. She works tirelessly to support executive, clinical, program and unit level management and front line custodial, case management, and paraprofessional staff alike. Helen's focus is always to achieve that fine balance between flexibility, adaptability and a rigorous adherence to data driven development.
